Day 89
When John and were first married we lived in an apartment off of 84th Q (Citadel). We wanted to be in a house before Timothy started school, so we started looking around. We finally found a house for sale by owner and they let us assume their loan, which worked out nicely for us at that time.
It was off of 132 Harrison. Right by Voss Mohr. It was a good starter home for us. We did a remodel after we moved in. The previous owners smoked, so the entire house smelled of old smoke. We replaced all the flooring, trim and painted the the inside and out of the house. It was just right when we were done. Timothy went to the same elementary school that I went to when I was growing up. So that was cool. Marie Sandoz Elementary.

It was a really nice first house. I hurt my back for the first time painting it. When we saw it on our recent trip back to Omaha, it was cool to see and the current owners retained the same grey and white colors, 20 years later.
