We had a great start to the New Year! John was actually home for a change, so we had our New Year's kiss to bring us luck for the upcoming year. We also had a champagne toast with Johnathon and watched the ball come down together! It was a great night.
I had a very nice birthday and received all kinds of cool gifts. John gave me a birthday hummel and an IPAD which I really haven't had a chance to use yet. I need to sit down and read the manual but I think I'm going to really like it! Mom, dad, G & G gave me money and I think I am going to get a Shark vacuum and steamer for my wood floors. I really enjoyed my special day and having the family together!
I went out to breakfast the other day with Kathy and Audrey to wish her a Happy Birthday. We gave her a family ring with her stone, and Timothy and the babies birth stones. It is very pretty and she seemed to like it. Then we went baby shopping and bought a few last minute things before Ella's arrival. She had a party with her family the night of her birthday and then went home to rest. Timothy has been working early morning hours so they are both pretty tired.

Ella Marie arrived and she is absolutely beautiful! I was hoping to see the birth but I just missed it because I had to pick all the kiddo's up at school and Ella didn't want to wait and she was in charge! Kathy had a few complications with some bleeding and had to have a blood transfusion. At one point they thought they were going to have to do surgery but the doctor was finally able to get the bleeding to stop. She is doing much better now and is home with Timothy and Audrey. Audrey is slowly acclimating to Ella but is still a little unsure. She is going to be a great sister!
It has been a very exciting time for me seeing our first born become a father. Timothy fell in love with his baby girl the instant he saw her. He seems to be such a natural and is so loving and gentle with Ella. I can see a sparkle in his eyes that just calls out love! He is and will be a great father. We are so proud of him and all of his accomplishments. I am sure a very proud mother and Nana! Timothy has a lovely family and such a bright future.
